I can't blame the Manjaro team for any of these issues though:
LG CX HDR EFFECT PICTURE MODE UPDATE
I use timeshift to create a backup before every update so I easily rolled back and waited for a guide, so it was ok :) To add to this one: I've been using Manjaro for 4 years now and in the last 10 months thanks to updates I ended up with a fully broken system twice. If you want a rock-solid system that has very infrequent updates, but you're happy to have some lag between programs being released and you getting them, you might be better off with something like Debian (which I used to use on a separate server I ran a few years ago).

So the slight risk of problems and frequency of updates is something I'm happy to put up with. Personally I like the fact that Manjaro has good sysadmin tools and I appreciate the fact that I'm getting very up-to-date versions of the programs I use. Though I always take a complete system backup before and after every update just to be on the safe side.Ī lot depends on what you're looking for in a distro. If you read the Manjaro forum you'll see that some people do manage to end up with a broken system after updates, but personally I've never had anything but very minor problems when I've installed an update. In theory, a rolling distro could be problematic, as updates are made much faster than in other distros. As far as I'm concerned it's the best distro I've ever used in all that time. I've been using nothing but Linux at home for about 20 years and I've been on Manjaro about three years now. You can also try /r/linuxquestions or /r/linux4noobs here on Reddit.
